Evelyn Everett-Green

Evelyn Ward Everett-Green (17 November 1856, London – 23 April 1932, Funchal) was a prolific writer authoring about 350 books; 200 under her own name and about 150 under various pen-names: H. F. E., Cecil Adair, E. Ward, or Evelyn Dare. Her early work centered around moralizing stories for children, she progressed to historical fiction — her mother was an historian — and then on to adult romantic fiction.
